Marriage Notice (family)
The home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Hasey, 2613 Third avenue south, was the scene Wednesday of the marriage of their niece, Mrs. Marguerite Hasey Chapman, daughter of Elijah Hasey, 3200 First avenue south, and Mr. Russell Foote Overlock of New York, son of Mr. and Mrs.. H. T. Overlock of Hennepin avenue. Palms, ferns and cathedral candles made a setting for the service, read at 8:30 o'clock by the Rev. John M. Foglesong, pastor of Tuttle Universalist church, in the presence of 60 guests. The nuptial music was played by Miss Hazel Smith, who also accompanied Mrs. Earl Wood, soloist. The bride, who was attended by her cousin, Mrs. Alice Hasey, was gowned in in French blue georgette fashioned over silver cloth and made with a full circular skirt. A silver flower was fastened at the left shoulder and she wore a silver ornament in her hair. Lilies of the valley and rosebuds were her flowers. Miss Hasey's gown of honeydew georgette was ornamented at the shoulder and waist with orchic and turquoise blue French flowers, and she wore a gold ornament in her hair. Pink rosebuds were in her bouquet. Serving as best man for his brother was Mr. Trafton Overlock. Following the ceremony, Mr. and Mrs. Hasey, Mr. and Mrs. Overlock and Mr. Hasey received with the bridal couple. Mrs. Overlock wore black georgette, Mrs. Hasey's gown was of gold and white metal cloth and they both had corsages of violets and rosebuds. Centering the dining-room table was a bowl of pink rosebuds and stevia, with white tapers placed at either end of the table. Mr. and Mrs. Overlock will leave Sunday to make their home in New York. For travel Mrs. Overlock will wear a black satin gown, a black needlepoint coat trimmed in seal and a black silk hat.Endnotes
