Mrs. Eva M. Ellms, 90, widow of A. Lemont Ellms, died Feb. 24, in a Pittsfield nursing home. She was born in Corinna, Oct. 26, 1878, the daughter of Edward and Ellie (Mower) Weymouth. She attended Corinna and Ripley Schools, and lived most of her life in Ripley where she was a member of the Methodist Church, a charter member and a past member of the Grange, and a member of the Ladies Aid. Surviving are two sons, Edward of Ripley and Charles of Dexter; one brother, Harold of Dexter; one sister, Mrs. Eugene (Susan) Sampson of Dexter; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Thursday in the Crosby Funeral Home, Dexter, with the Rev. William R. Morley officiating. Burial will be next spring in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter.Endnotes
