Marcus Moore was enumerated in the household of Nelson Moore, age 10, male, born in Vermont, and had attended school within the year.Military
Volunteers from Calais. CALAIS, Aug. 19, 1862. Mr. Editor:- There is an inpression abroad that Calais is somewhat behind in furnishing her quota of three year men for the war; but such is really not the fact. At the time the call was made for the Ninth Regiment, Calais had furnished twenty six men, but from some mistake, had been accredited only eleven. Since that time she has sent out thirty-six, making in all sixty-two, which is 10 more than her quota. FROM THE 11TH REGIMENT. Mortality of the 1st Vt. Artillery, from the 1st of September, 1862, to the 13th of March, 1864. March 18th, 1864. MR. EDITOR:- Below is a record of all the deaths that have occurred since the time above stated, with the exception of a few cases of varioloid, which have not been sent to us from General Hospital as yet.
