James Berry Vickery, Jr. was educated at the high school at Unity, and at Freedom Academy. In 1893 he went west to Bridger, and to the Clark Fork River prospecting for gold, and returned in 1895. After his return he took over the farm from his father, and became a prominent farmer in this locality.
