Obituary
HAMPDEN - Darrell K. Bridgham, 69, died Sept. 30, 1987, at a Bangor hospital after a long illness. He was born in Old Town, May 12, 1918, the son of Harry M. and Bertha (Robinson) Bridgham. He was a graduate of Bangor High School, Class of 1935. Before retiring in 1978 he was employed by Maine Central Railroad for more than 41 years. He was an avid sportsman, having played semipro baseball for many years. He attended the Church of the Open Door. He is survived by his beloved wife, Doris (Nix) Bridgham of Hampden, two daughters, Barbara "Bobby" Johns of Brewer and Patricia Freeman of Hermon; four grandchildren, Kelly and Karen Johns, both of Brewer, and Russell and Dawn Marie Freeman, both of Hermon. He was predeceased by a son, Harry M. Bridgham, in 1982. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at Hampden Funeral Home, Western Avenue, Hampden with the Rev. Richard Woehr officiating. Friends may call at Hampden Funeral Home 6-8 p.m. Friday. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Brewer.Endnotes
