Obituary
HOULTON - Mary Tompkins Farrar, 95, died Feb. 7, 2005, at Houlton. She was born June 7, 1909, in Houlton, the daughter of Murray and Minnie (Grant) Tompkins. Mary is survived by four daughters, Glenna Murphy, Pauline Miller, and Marie Bugbee, all of Houlton and Joan MacDonald of Ceca, Fla.; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Donald Tompkins of New York; one sister, Mildred Gillis of Limerick. She was predeceased by her husband, Paul; and three brothers and three sisters. A private graveside service will be held at the Evergreen Cemetery in Houlton in the spring at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may donate to the Houlton Humane Society, care of Bowers Funeral Home, PO Box 579, Houlton ME 04730.Endnotes
