Mrs. Myrtle Adair Mower, R. N., 64, wife of Kenneth Mower, died last Thursday at her home on the Clark Hill Road in East Hampton, Conn. She was born May 9, 1903 at Sussex, N. B., the daughter of Abraham and Addreianna (Mitchell) Adair. She graduated from Plummer Memorial Hospital school of nursing in Dexter in 1925 and the family resided in Dexter many years before going to Connecticut. She had been a nurse at E.M.G. the Osteopathic Hospital and the State Hospital in Bangor and was on the nursing staff at the Hartford Hospital in Connecticut for 15 years and also did private duty. She was a sister-in-law of Clyde Mower of Dexter. She was a former member of Wassookeag Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star of Dexter. Surviving are her husband; a son, Carroll of Plaistow, N. H.; a daughter, Mrs. Benjamin Jones of East Hampton, Conn.; two brothers, James and Murray Adair of Sussex, N. B.; two sisters, Mrs. Murray Virtue of Plaistow, N. H. and Mrs. Walter Dunfield of Sussex, N. B.; and eight grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at the Crosby Funeral Home in Dexter on Monday with the Rev. Ondon P. Stairs of the Penny Memorial Baptist Church in Augusta officiating. Spring burial will be in the Mt. Pleasnt Cemetery in Dexter.Endnotes
