MARION, VIRGINIA: JOAN BUCHANAN STURGILL CHOATE, age 86 died Monday, October 22, 2012 in Wellmont Hospice House, Bristol, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by husbands Issac M. Sturgill, Jr. and Laton Edward Choate.
She is survived by one daughter Rebecca Goble and husband Dave of Marion, Virginia; one grandson, Matthew Thomas and wife Ana of Jonesboro, Tennessee; two great-grandchildren, Johnathan Betances and Mina Thomas; several nieces and nephews and many special friends also survive.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Dr. Mark Ross officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until the time of the service at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
Graveside Services will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at South Fork Baptist Church Cemetery beside her beloved husband, Isaac M. Sturgill, Jr.
