Mrs. Laura P. McCarter, 57, widow of the late Robert McCarter, Sugar Grove, died at the home of her brother, Sylvester Pierce, Troutdale, on Friday, September 25.
The deceased woman was a daughter of the late Rufus Pierce and wife Fannie Pierce, Troutdale. She had been in ill health a long time preceding her death.
Surviving are two brothers, Sylvester and Mitchell Pierce, Troutdale, and one sister, of Nebraska.
Funeral services were conducted in the Troutdale Baptist church Sunday morning at 10 o'clock.
Interment was in Troutdale Cemetery.
