The will of Roger King of Harwich, dated 8 March 1768 and proved 8 July 1768 mentioned wife Hannah; daughter Hannah Freeman; daughter Zilph Kinwrick; heirs of daughter Thankful Yates; son Nathaiel; and grandson Roger King. On 9 August 1768, John Yates was named guardian of his children John, Reliance, and Mary, in the right of their grandfather Roger King.
