Harmon DeHAVEN
(9 Mar 1777 - 19 Aug 1820)
In 1805 the family moved by wagon from Columbia County, Pennsylvania to Green Township, Ross County, Ohio. Harmon had purchased 80 acres about one mile east of Kingston. He was a skilled woodworker and served as the area's undertaker and coffin maker. He also built the log school house and invented a fanning mill which he intended to have patented, but he died before he could do so.
