Will
Will of John DodsonI John Dodson considering the uncertainty of this mortal life and being of sound mind and memory. Bless be Almighty God for the same do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following.
First I give and bequeath unto my second son John Dodson N.W. 1/4 Section 15 in Town 28 S. R. 5 West.
I give and bequeath unto my youngest son Samuel H. Dodson East 1/2 half of South West 1/4 and South 1/2 of the North East 1/4 Section 15 in Town 28, South Range 5 West in Douglas County Oregon.
I give and bequeath fifty dollars each to William Dodson my son, Sarah Liles my daughter, Mary Brown my daughter, Matilda Hunter my daughter, Susan Boles my daughter, Isabel Windle my daughter, Emmy Pace my daughter, Lucinda Darneal my daughter, Nancy Whitsett my daughter, Margaret Ingram my daughter, Martha May my daughter, Lidey Keley my daughter.
Items, all the rest and residue of my Real Estate personal or mixed of which I shall die seized and possessed or to which I shall be entitled at the time of decease, I give, devise, and bequeath to be equally divided to and among said Sons and Daughters mentioned above.
Lastly I do nominate and appoint my said son Samuel H. Dodson and Joseph McLaughlin to be the executors of my last will and testament.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the 24th day of June 1869.

The above instrument consisting of one sheet was now here subscribed by John Dodson the testator in the presence of each of us and was at the same time declared by him to be his last will and testament, and we at his request sign our names hereunto as attesting witnesses.
