Anne Davis was born in 1715 Westerly, Rhode Island. She married John Witter also of Westerly. Anne is buried in Brookfield, NY in the Witter Hill Farm Cemetery. Her son Samuel's family was also there, she probably lived with them as a widow. The Witter Genealogy book states that Anne Davis, who married John Witter, was the daughter of Peter and Mary Shorey Daivs- no other proof.
