Individual Details
Marah Martha Smith
(August 8, 1686 - Abt, 1761)
Marah was also known as Martha. Born in Lyme Connecticut she married Isaac Tubbs at age 23. Isaac had mental issues. From sources it appears he couldn't manage his farm which was maybe maintained by the court. Marah in 1744 and maybe other times went to the court and pleaded for some help, someone [male] to sell the land to pay debts or someone [male] to help manage the land, not sure. Marah was a widow at about age 63 and married again, hopefully a kind, competent husband.
