James Brown

James Brown was born in England and arrived in Plymouth Colony with his family about 1632. The Browns were not on the Mayflower but knew the group from Leyden and quickly connected with the pilgrims in Plymouth. James was able to bear arms and was an elected assistant- to the governor or judge. His will written in 1694 names his wife and children, siblings and friends
