Arrival

The Mary and John: She arrived at Nantasket May 30 and all the passengers settled at Mattapan which was renamed Dorchester. There is no list of emigrants but the following persons are believed to have come in this ship according to evidences from contemporary authorities. Henry along with John Drake and Ephraim Child were Freeman.

Residence

An original settler of Windsor in 1636. In this same year his brother John from Lydeard wrote a letter to Henry in 'Winsor by the quenattecott river in Nu England'.

Will

I HENRY WOLCOTT, of perfect memory, do make and ordain this my last will and testament, I commend my soul to God my maker, hoping assuredly through Jesus Christ to be a partaker of life everlasting; and I commend my body to the earth, whereof it was made

Here under lyeth the body of Henry Wolcott sometimes a Magistrate of this jurisdiction who dyed ye 30th day of May Anno Saluitis (in the year of salvation) 1655, Aetatis (age) 77
