Individual Details
Thomas Arnold
(Abt, 1612 - September, 1674)
Thomas sailed from England on the Plain Joan in 1635. He married Phebe Parkhhurst, maybe his 2nd wife. He was a freeman in Watertown, Mass., May 13, 1640, and was in Smithfield RI by 1651. His relationship to William Arnold, is unproven, could be a brother, cousin, unrelated. Thomas was not a follower of the Puritan ways which caused him to end up in court for not baptizing his children and not attending public worship (in America the land of the free?). Thomas was smart about land and owned a lot at his death which may have been Sep 1674.
