John Cloyes
(Abt, 1610 - 1676)
John Cloyse came from Essex Colchester Parish to America on the Anne in about 1637. He was married at least twice, maybe three times. His first wife Abigail was the mom of Peter Cloyes. John was a mariner and taught the trade in New England. His house was burned down at some point, probably during King Philips War, he was murdered by Indians also during King Philips War.
