Catharina Renistra

(April, 1821 - June 19, 1909)

Catharina was born in Harlingen, Netherlands in 1821. In 1846 she married Garbrand Roos of Germany, they both lived near the Wadden Sea. They left for America in 1862, landing in New York then moving on to Freeport, Illinois, then Grundy and Butler Counties in Iowa. They farmed and helped to found the New German Baptist Church.
