Martha was born in Odell, Bedfordshire England in 1572. Her father and then her younger brother Peter were pastors at All Saints Parish in Odell so Martha would have been baptized and married to Abraham Mellow in the church. The Mellows sailed to America and arrived before 1633 when they were admitted to the First Church of Charlestown.
