Her obituary says she "will be remembered with affection in this city, where during her her years of residence, she was active in club, civic and social circles. With her husband (Dr. A. R. Carrigan) she returned to Manchester in the mid-1930s and continued to live there after her husband's death in 1944.
"She had been a member of Limestone chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, and of the Nathaniel Massey chapter 548, Order of Eastern Star, in which she had served as past matron by affiliation.
"Mrs. Carrigan was a member of the First Christian church in Maysville."
