Isabella Knox

In a series of deeds dating from 1841 to 1850, Richard D. Knox purchased the "right of legacy" from his 13 brothers and sisters to two tracts of land in Elkhart Co., Ind. These tracts had been purchased by John L. Knox before his death in 1835. Richard D. purchased his mother's interest in the land in 1838 and was, at the time of the deeds to his brothers and sisters, in possession of the land.
