In church record of marriage, William Hastings was of Amherst and Mrs. Hannah Rogers was of Lyndeboro.In his will, William Hastings leaves "wife Hannah Hastings all the beds, bedding, household furniture and articles of family use which she formerly owned and which she brought to me on our marriage. Also the money due to me on two promisory notes . . . "
