The 1900 census has him living in Deerhorn, Wilkin County, Minnesota with two children, his wife and four step-sons.
The 1910 census has him living on a farm in Rogers Township, Barnes County, North Dakota with his wife, daughter, and three step-sons.
The State of Missouri Death Certificate indicates he was born January 25, 1870 and that he died in Grover, Johnson County, Missouri but was living in Knob Noster, Johnson County. He died of heat exhaustion complicated by asthma and high blood pressure. The informant was Leo Applegarth, his step-son. Other sources, including burial records, indicate he was born January 25, 1868. Initially the Certificate indicated he would be buried at the LDS Cemetery in Holden. That was replaced with Hartland, Wisconsin.
