In 1910, Lizzie and her son Clarence are living with the Mastellers and the Census lists her as a housekeeper.
The following Obituary is in the Sac Sun (Sac City, Sac County, Iowa), Vol 68, Thursday, July 28, 1938:
"Mrs. Greenbury Masteller passed away last Sunday, July 24th at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ralph Deremo, in her 73rd year. She had been in poor health for more than a year. Mrs. Masteller was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerrod C. Platt and was born in Erie County, Pennsylvania, August 31, 1865. She came to Sac County when less than a year old and lived the greater part of her life here. She spent 15 years in Alabama and 8 years in Presho, South Dakota with her son.
Mrs. Masteller was the mother of 4 children, Mils O. Brown and Colney A. Brown, both deceased; Mrs. Ralph Deremo and Clarence Gross of Presho, South Dakota.

MRS. MASTELLER DIES AT DAUGHTER'S HOME

Mrs. B. G. Masteller passed away last Sunday, July 24, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ralph Deremo, in her 73rd year. She had been in poor health for more than a year.
Funeral services were held at the Neal Funeral home on Wednesday afternoon with Rev. Ellsworth Woods officiating. Mrs. Chas. McCallister and Miss Lucy Gardner sang "In the Garden" and "Abide With Me" accompanied by Mrs. Earl Waisner. Pall-bearers were Fred Salasek, Hobart Pierce, A. B. Nixon, Chas. Garriott, Chas. Hurst and Wesley Gilbert.
Mrs. Masteller was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerodd C. Platt and was born in Erie County, Pennsylvania August 31, 1865. She came to Sac county when less than a year old and lived the greater part of her life here. She spent 15 years in Alabama and 8 years in Presho, S. D. with her son.
Mrs. Masteller was the mother of four children: Mils O. Brown and Colney A. Brown, both deceased., Mrs. Ralph Deremo and Clarence Gross of Presho, S. D. She leaves two grandchildren. Mrs. Vernon Allen and Gail Deremo and 7 step-children: Mrs. Wm. Spicer, Wilys Masteller, Elvy Masteller, Mrs. John Rodgers, all of Sac City; Mrs. Geo McLaughlin and Elmer Masteller of Draper, S. D. She also leaves one brother, Ralph Platt of Denver and 32 step-grandchildren.
In 1916 she placed her membership with the Sac City Church of Christ. During her long illness she was always thoughtful of those who cared for her."
