His given name has been recorded as Parley and Pearly and some records have Perly.
Parley and Caroline Cutler were baptized and confirmed in February 1843 into the Latter Day Saints Church.
He is listed as a Seventy in the Latter Day Saints Church.
Sources have recorded his death in 1846 and there are records that Caroline arrived in Salt Lake as a widow in 1850 but this writer has not been able to confirm the 1846 date. There are documents which indicate Parley may have been living in 1848.
Parley and Caroline are listed as members of the Latter Day Saint's Shirt's Camp in Iowa, in 1848.
Parley signed a petition in 1848 for Kanesville, Iowa to have a Post Office.
