The Last Will and Testament of John Jones ofCoedmawrucha, Llanddewi Brefi.(St David's 1793.SD/1801/99 W)
The will was made on the 7th of December 1793 by John Jones of Coedmawrucha, Llanddewi Brefi, Gentleman.
He gives to his 'reputed' son John, who then lived with himat Coedmawrucha, [who was the son of Judeth (sic), now or late of London, whoat the time of the birth of the said John went by the name of Judeth Abel, andlived in the parish of Llanddewi Brefi], and to his heirs, all the lands knownby several names - Coedmawr otherwise, Coedmawrucha and Brynyrhyg bach, in theParish of Llanddewi Brefi that he purchased from John Edwards Esquire, of Abermeyric(Abermeurig).
He gives to his 'reputed' son Nathaniel [also by Judeth],who also lived with him at Coedmawrucha at the time of making the will, the sumof £20 to be paid to him by theexecutor of the will six months after the death of his father.
Every other possession whatsoever goes to son John who wasto be his executor.
He requests that his good friends David Lewis, Gentleman ofGelli, Cardiganshire and the Reverend John Hughes, Clerk, of Sychpant,Cardiganshire to be guardians of his sons and to assist with the execution ofhis will.
