The Last Will and Testament of John Jones ofBlaenblodau, Llanddewi Brefi.(St David's SD/1857/280 W)
The will was made on the 5th of April 1854 byJohn Jones of Blaenblodau, Gwynfil, Llanddewi Brefi, Gentleman.
He gives to his son Roderick the property called Bank subject to a payment of £20 to his daughter Margaret, £5 to his son Nathaniel and £5 to Mary Ann Thomas. These payments to be made within six months following his death.
He gives to his son Jenkin - Ty Newydd, Fron a war y Ty(sic) and Llwin Fach a'r Ardd (sic) subject to a payment of £20 to son Thomas.
He gives to son William Penlone (sic), Waunfach, Cae dan yffordd, Cae a war y ffordd and Cae bach, adjoining the Bank, Henfagwyr,Tangraig fach a'r Ardd subject to a payment of £15 to his daughter Mary.
He gives to his daughter Elizabeth the dwelling house andgarden called Blaenblodau and all the household furniture, except for the chest-of-drawers which goes to daughter Mary. He also gives to his daughter Elizabeth Cae o flaenydrws, y Waun Wair, Gors fach ganol, a'r Gors Frwynadjoining Gellillundi.
He wishes all the legacies to be paid within six months after his death.
He appoints his son Jenkin and John Rowlands of Gellilundias executors.
