The bestman was Evan's brother Jack Davies of London. The bride was "given away" by her brother Evan Williams, Llandovery Borough Surveyor. The bridesmaid was Miss J Hughes, The Post Office. The organist was Miss Roderick, Neuadd Arms. At the reception, speeches were made by the vicar and Lewis Roderick D.C. of Neuadd Arms. The Honeymoon was spent in Cardiff.

Probate was granted to his widow Sarah. His effects were valued at £968 (£16,862.56 in 2005).

Property

In addition to the post office work, Evan was also a gardener at Neuadd Fawr.  Evan and Sally also had a small holding of about 25 acres called Wauncroyddir where they kept a few cows for milking.  This milk was then carried across four fields to the post office where they used the milk to make butter.  Originally these fields were part of the Neuadd Fawr Estate. In 1941 they were bought by Evan and Sally when the estate was sold-off.  After Evan died, Sally carried on on her own in the post office but rented out the Wauncroyddir fields. She gave up the post office in 1923 but kept running shop.
