Individual Details
David TINDER
(1788 - 8 May 1851)
NOTE:
David and Eleanor transferred their membership from Salem Baptist Church to the Zoar Baptist Church in 1812. There are numerous deeds for David in Louisa County Virginia purchased as Tinder's Gold mines. The gold was mined by surface washing. David frequently leased land to various people, and the lessees were to work the mines "all but two months of the year or lose the lease." Deed books showed detailed maps and diagrams of the gold mines.
