Engagement Annouoncement
The following announcement appeared in the November 25, 1962, Salina Journal on page 18:"Mrs. Lee Pennel, Downey, Calif., announces the engagement of her daughter, Marcy Anne, also the daughter of the late Mr. Pennell, to Jack Cutler Shershow, son of Dr. and Mrs. Albert Shershow, also of Downey. Miss Pennel, a graduate of Downey High School, is a junior at the University of California, Los Angeles. She has visited every other summer with her aunt and uncle, Ada Smith and Jake Smith, 240 S. 8th. Her fiancé was graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Harvard University, He now is attending the University of Southern California School of Medicine, Los Angeles. A summer wedding is planned in Downey."
