The following obit appeared in the December 6, 2009, Sun-Sentinel:"Ronni Rogers Katler, born May 9, 1952 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, passed away while resting peacefully in her home in Plantation Acres on December 4, 2009. After a valiant yearlong fight against breast cancer, she finally succumbed to the disease upon recognizing the wonderful life she had lived: one of a vivacious spirit and contagious love for the beauty found in the everyday that pervaded the lives and attitudes of her friends and loved ones. While her husband Mitch, three sons Quinn, Alex, and Luke, and parents Leland and Elaine Rogers (and two dogs Katie and Kirby) will attempt to live up to a fraction of her responsibilities and passions, we will never forget how irreplaceable she truly was: an adoring wife, a mother who always put her children first, the heart of her family, and a funny and all-too-giving friend of all. Please join us in service at Ramat Shalom (11301 W. Broward Blvd) on Sunday, December 6 at 7 p.m. Contributions in Ronni's honor to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. She may never have gotten that Porsche, but if you knew Ronni, her only regret is that she will not be able to attend the party following her funeral."
