Son of the late Blanche and Leo Hodes. Dearest husband and best friend of 50 years of Sue Hodes; devoted father of Andi (Ed) Buhot, Phyllis (George) Rook, Kathie (Larry) Friedman and Leo (Carol) Hodes; adoring grandfather of E.J. (Jen), Adam (Darcy), Eric, Ken, Evan and Lydia; great-grandfather of seven; loving brother of Leila Newar; also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. A celebration of his life will be held Friday, January 25, 2013, 11 am at Weinstein Funeral Home, 111 Skokie Blvd, Wilmette, IL, 847-256-5700. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Sheldon's memory may be made to Midwest Palliative and Hospice Care Center, Glenview, IL. www.weinsteinfuneralhomes.com."
