The following obit appeared in the January 30, 1987, Cleveland Jewish News:"Sam Teitelbaum dies;
decorated for war service
Sam Teitelbaum, a resident of Cleveland Heights, died on Jan. 19. He would have been 70 years old on Feb. 24. He was born in Cleveland and lived here all his life. During World War 2, Mr. Teitelbaum was decorated for service under General Patton. He participated in the Normandy invasions and in liberation of concentration camps. He served as an interpreter aiding in the
interrogation of German prisoners. Mr. Teitelbaum graduated from Central High School, and, except for his military service, was in retail sales until
his retirement several years ago."
