I may have this birthday confused. The Wilton book says he was born 21 Jan 1746. -- but I think the 1746 is for a different William
The Abbot book gives the birth date of 21 Jan 1746 for the William son of Jonathan and Martha. The Lunenberg records give the 24 Nov 1745 date.

Since I do not have a William for 21 Jan 1746 perhaps that is a baptism?
