Jonathan Abbott

Jonathan married two of his third cousins, Mehitabel Abbott and Dorcas Abbott. He lived on his father's homestead.
He served in the Revolutionary War as a Sargent under the command of Captain Henry Abbott. Jonathan did later hold a rank of Captain. DAR # A000125.

Probate

In his will (probate 1 January 1822), Jonathan Abbott made bequests to the following persons: beloved wife Dorcas, beloved son Stephen, beloved son Jonathan, daughters Mehitable, Sarah, Zurviah, Nabby, and Hannah, daughter Dorcas, daughter Phebe, grandson Stephen son of Stephen, and each of his grandsons named Jonathan. Son Stephen was the sole executor.
