David Foster wrote his will 5 October 1810 and it was proved 16 January 1811. To daughter Sarah Hall, he leaves one-half of his land in Canterbury that is detailed in the will and includes several parcels. Beloved wife Sarah receives the other half of the parcels. Wife Sarah also receives an additional tract of land. After Sarah's death, this additional tract is to be equally divided among daughter Sarah and sons Nathaniel Foster, David Foster, and Timothy Foster. He also provides that the part of his son Joseph's estate that came to divided will be divided one-third to wife Sarah and two-thirds divided among his four children. Son Nathaniel receives five dollars. Sons Timothy and David receive additional land bequests. Wife Sarah receives all the residue of the estate and is named executor.
