On 25 March in the secondyear of American independence, Nehemiah Lovejoy of Sharon, in consideration offorty pounds, quitclaimed to Larkin Hunter all his right to the hundred-acrelot of Richard Lovejoy the original grantee. On 21 June 1781, Nehemiah Lovejoypurchased forty acres for fourteen shillings, six pence in a tax sale, aproperty that was in the original right of John Nelson.[1] On 27 May 1788, NehemiahLovejoy and his wife Thankful of Sharon, in consideration of £25, conveyed toThomas Foster of Foster, Rhode Island fifty acres in Sharon. On 17 March 1792,Nehemiah conveyed fifty acres to Joel Doubleday for payment of £10.[2] On 6 April 1837, thedower thirds from the estate of Nehemiah Lovejoy were set to widow Sally. Nehemiah Lovejoy servedfrom Windsor County, Vermont in the company of Capt. Joseph Parkhurst from 9August to 15 August 1781. He was also credited with two days service in thecompany of Capt. Ebenezer Parkhurst in October 1781.
