Essex County, MA: Probate File Papers, 1638-1881. Online database. AmericanAncestors.org. Essex Cases 1-1999, Case number 29David Abbott did not leave a will. Jonathan Abbott was administrator of the estate. Other signers as heirs of the probate are widow Priscilla Abbott and the following children: Priscilla Abbott, Mary Bailey (Samuel Bailey), David Abbott, Nathan Abbott, and Ezra Abbott. The probate document is 64 pages long so there is likely still more to find out. Several of the children would have been minors at the time of the probate, but I did not see yet the information as to who is acting as guardian, etc.
