Probate
Uriah Abbott of Pelham didnot leave a will. On 17 August 1808, the heirs of the estate were notified thatJonathan Gage, Jr., a principal creditor, had petitioned for estateadministration stating the heirs of the estate had neglected this. The heirsnotified were Dudley Abbot, Benjamin Abbot, Joseph Abbott, and Lydia Abbot.Esther Abbot is also given but crossed through (perhaps as she was a minor atthat time). Dudley Abbot of Beverly, Lydia Abbot, Joseph Abbot, Benjamin Abbotof Andover.[1]The son William is not named in the notice to heirs but was a minor at thetime.
