In his will dated 25August 1769 (proved 29 August 1770), Nathaniel Abbott gentleman of Concorddirected that his beloved wife Mehitable be comfortably maintained from theestate while she is a widow. Beloved son Nathaniel is to receive half of allmoney in his possession or owed to him at the time of his decease and sonJeremiah is to receive the other half. His daughters received the followingbequests: Dorcas Merrill, one Spanish milled dollar; Rebecca Doyen, four Spanishmilled dollars; Elizabeth Hazeltine, four Spanish milled dollars; Mary Walker,four Spanish milled dollars; Hannah Moor, four Spanish milled dollars; RebeccaAbbott, two Spanish milled dollars; Ruth Walker, four Spanish milled dollars;Dorothy George, four Spanish milled dollars; and Sarah Farnham, four Spanishmilled dollars. The household goods are to be divided equally among his ninedaughters after his wife’s decease. Son Joshua receives all the lands andbuildings, the husbandry tools, and the stock animals.
