In his will written 24 June 1791 (probate 4 December 1792), Jonathan Holt bequeathed to beloved wife Eleanor the improvement on one-third of his estate while she is a widow and all the household items she brought to the marriage to be hers forever. She also receives the value of several notes which were due to her prior to the marriage. Son George and Jonathan receive twelve pounds which completes their portions. If son William is living and shall return to Andover, he will receive six pounds. Daughter Rebecca receives the best bed and other furniture items. Daughter Phebe wife of Mr. Levi Fletcher receives the brass kettle. Daughter Sarah wife of Mr. Jonathan Baker receives six shillings. Son Zebadiah receives all the lands and buildings and is also named executor. Real property was valued at 500 pounds.
