Case number 36074Hannah Lane wrote her will 10 December 1839. She bequeaths $50 to her son John Samuel Lane and this amount is to be paid before any of the other legacies so that he receives this full amount. Daughter Hannah Putnam wife of Elijah Putnam receives $50. Son Josiah Abbott Lane receives her mahogany framed likeness. Daughter Arinda Fiske wife of George Fiske receives the best carpet and other furniture items. Daughter Sarah Hayward wife of Ebenezer Hayward receives $50. Granddaughter Hannah E. Moore wife of Daniel P. Moore receives her gold necklace. Grandson Jonathan Lane Fiske (when he reaches age 21) receives her woodlot of about 40 rods that she received by deed in 1823. Her three daughter will equally divide her household items. All the remainder of the estate to be equally divided among her children Jonathan Lane, Hannah Putnam, Josiah Abbott Lane, Arinda Fiske, Sarah Hayward, George Lane, Charles Lane, and John Samuel Lane. Son Jonathan Lane is named sole executor.
