Notes
Probate
There is an addendum to the will that divides all the household goods between son Ebenezer and daughter Deborah after the decease of his wife. He also requests that his granddaughter Francis Lovejoy who has been in his care remain in the care of her grandmother his loving wife. He also requests that brother Thomas Osgood and sons William Lovejoy and Joseph Lovejoy should have oversight of the the son Ebenezer and also of granddaughter Francis until she is of marrying age. There is also a bequest for daughter Abigail. The daughters Deborah and Abigail do not seem to be married. Further, Ebenezer is to make no bargains of any kind against the wishes of those who are overseeing him.The will itself is torn and otherwise damaged and only part of it is readable. There are bequests to the following persons that are readable: beloved wife Hannah, son William who is the oldest, son Christopher, it looks like Sarah Johnson, daughter Abigail, Joseph Lovejoy, son Ebenezer, Ebenezer is to do something for his sister Deborah, and there may be others named but the will is in poor condition.
