Case number 26889In his will written 21 June 1781, Jonathan Swan had the following bequests. Beloved wide Abigail receives the use of and improvements on one-third part of the real estate as long as she remains a widow. Son Jonathan receives all the real estate, lands, and buildings and one-half of a grist mill. Daughter Charlotte Swan receives a piece of land in Methuen containing about 26 acres. Daughter Abigail Swan receives a lot of about 18 acres in Methuen. Daughters Charlotte and Abigail also have the liberty of living in one room of the house so long as they are unmarried. His two daughters also receive the household goods excepting those that are needed for wife Abigail. Son Jonathan receives any other residue of the estate.
