Supreme Judicial Court (Essex County); Probate Place: Essex, Massachusetts, Probate Records, Aaron, E-Abbot, H, 1828-1991, probate of Asa Abbott, 18 Feb 1851, case number 30817In the will of Asa Abbott dated 1 July 1847 (probate 18 February 1851), Son Asa receives the East part of the dwelling and East part of the home lot and barn and a part of the woodlot known as the Neck. Two acres are set aside to son Sereno Timothy. Son Sylvester receives the remaining part of the home lot. Daughter Sarah A. Abbott receives the use of the chamber she now occupies. Daughter Adaline A. Manning receives one share in the Boston and Maine rail road. Daughter Hannah Jacquith Ingalls receives $100. To his daughters and daughters-in-law he leaves a 23-acre piece of land in Billerica to be divided equally among them: Adaline A. Manning, Mehitable H. Abbot, Elizabeth J. Berry, Sarah A. Abbot, Rhoda B. Abbot, Hannah J. Ingalls Abbott, and Sarah F. Abbott. Sons Asa and Sylvester are named executors.
