Samuel Carleton
(11 Aug 1731 - 25 Mar 1804)
Continental Army officer and member of the Massachusetts General Court. During the Revolution he raised a regiment at Salem in 1777 and marched to Fort Ticonderoga. Served under George Washington at Valley Forge. He is buried with his wife Eunice (Hunt).
