Probate
Daniel Pierce did not leave a will and his estate entered probate on 5 June 1759 with widow Sarah as administratrix. Real estate was valued at £219. The initial division of the real estate was in 1759 with the dower set off to the widow, eldest son Daniel receiving a double portion, and portions to the other children Reuben,Samuel, Jacob, Sarah, Abigail, and Keziah. Benjamin Whitcomb served as guardian for the five youngest children.
