Probate was necessary as Piercy was receiving a Revolutionary War pension. Calvin A. Pearsons of West Windsor provided a statement given the names of Piercy’s surviving children: Aurelia Taylor, Betsey Bowers, Mary Barker, Sarah Pearsons, and Piercy Estabrooks.1https://www.ancestry.com/imageviewer/collections/9084/images/007714917_01072?treeid=&personid=&queryId=014cc82c-9247-4f3d-b05d-8bbc9b466e71&usePUB=true&_phsrc=NCN41248&_phstart=successSource&pId=1101009
