In her will written 10 December 1877 (probate 18 January 1879), Sophronia Jenness of Clyde, Ohio bequeathed her real and personal estate to daughter Mary M. Bowles. From the estate income, Mary is to pay two hundred dollars yearly for the support of son Charles L. Jones on condition that Charles makes his home with his sister Mary M. Bowles. It is not her intention that any of the two hundred dollars shall be in the control of Charles L. Jones or be subject to any debts he creates.1
